The Problem
Managing time is an important life skill to have. Anyone can struggle, and especially with long-term projects, it is not uncommon to struggle to systematically plan and uphold tempo for the entire project timeline.
User Research
Surveying students regarding their long-term projects revealed several key insights.
1. Struggle getting started
2.  Lack of direction on where to begin
3. Students sometimes face burn out when overwhelmed with tasks
4. Students have trouble sticking to self-imposed plans and deadlines, but are more likely to stick to externally placed due dates.

Mid-Fi
I hashed out the design more and incorporated user feedback into the webtool. I also made the tool interactive on Figma.

Key Insights from Usability Testing
- don’t need a “start” and “end” button if it’s used only once.
- added priority feature so task could slide to the top or bottom based on priority
- made font bigger
- added feature so you can extend a task to the next stage
- added percent to see the progress for task  and improved design of the timeline.

Thank You !
